An Autonomous Vehicle Driven Solely by Cameras

The holy grail of an Oxford research project is to lower the cost of an autonomous car system by using cameras as the sole means of data acquisition.  In this project, vehicle orientation is determined by matching “Experience” data previously captured by a FLIR Bumblebee XB3 stereo camera with ‘live’ images captured by three Grasshopper2 cameras.
